Tutor - Learning Coach

Title: Contract Tutor/Learning Coach (Elementary, Student-Athlete Academy)
Location: Life Time Frisco (on-site; limited remote deliverables)
Engagement: Per-session and per-deliverable work orders offered within Mon–Thu 8–11 a.m. and 4–7 p.m. windows; optional remote “Weekly Admin Pack” deliverable on Fridays
Rate: $20–$30 per on-site session; $50 per approved Admin Pack. Invoiced bi-weekly.

About the engagement

TAC partners with tutors/independent coaches to support elementary learners using the Laurel Springs LMS before their daily athletics. We set outcomes and site rules; you bring your own device and supplies. Work is non-exclusive and offered via work orders you may accept or decline. No minimum hours are promised.

What you’ll deliver

  • On-site academic session (60 min): Lead a small group to advance each student toward weekly LSS targets and complete a clean handoff to athletics per site rules.

  • Weekly Admin Pack (remote): End-of-week progress sweep vs targets, next-week mini-plan per student, and a concise family note (“done, next, needs”).

  • Live-class logistics (if ordered): Ensure timely joins and capture follow-ups for the student’s LSS teacher.

You may substitute a qualified associate who has completed required background screening.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree; Texas teaching certificate a plus but not required

  • Independent youth tutoring/teaching experience

  • Organized communicator with families; comfortable with online platforms and basic spreadsheets

  • Business entity or sole prop with W-9

  • Ability to work on-site within offered windows and follow site safety and child-safety rules

  • Strong small-group management and positive mentoring approach

Site rules and safety (conditions of site access)

  • Maintain a learning-conducive environment appropriate to the physical, social, and emotional development of students present.

  • Manage student conduct consistent with Life Time site rules; document incidents and escalate per the site incident protocol.

  • Take reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities, including head counts at transitions and securing devices/materials after sessions.

Engagement terms

Independent contractor (1099). No benefits. TAC does not dictate methods, or hours. Work is not guaranteed and is offered through non-exclusive work orders. Payment is per accepted deliverable upon approval.
